Mirna leads a regional Open Finance platform, with a vision to redesign financial services with an open API infrastructure that boosts financial inclusion, revolutionizes financial services and provides a standard integration between Fintechs and institutions.
Mirna has more than 15 years of experience in government relations, business strategy, digital communications and journalism. She managed public sector business for Thomson Reuters across 22 MENA countries and partnered with international organizations to promote innovation and social change. She spent more than 10 years as a financial journalist with Reuters, Dow Jones, The Wall Street Journal and Zawya.
Mirna has an Executive MBA from City University of London in Innovation and Entrepreneurship.She is certified from MIT University in Fintech and ecommerce, and in Digital Marketing and Communications from Columbia University. Mirna is also certified in Digital Transformation Strategies from Cambridge University.
Abe Karar is the Chief Product Officer at Fintech Galaxy, where he guides the design, building and development of our Open Banking platform and products. He leads and manages products strategy and delivery, combining extensive field expertise and strong business acumen that allow him to leverage client engagement and market trends, and augment our products’ capabilities to optimize the value Fintech Galaxy brings to the FinTech market.
With over 15+ years of experience in the Financial Services industry, Abe has worked at some of the largest financial institutions in the world, including BMO Bank of Montreal, JP Morgan Chase, Bank of America, First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) and Arab Financial Services (AFS). He has held various leadership roles across Digital, Retail, Card, Operations, Customer Experience, Business Analytics, AML and Risk Strategies.
Abe is an expert in executing large-scale transformational initiatives across key strategic enterprise programs (+$200M), developing and implementing operational controls and action plans, and transforming strategic plans into business solutions that streamline business processes, improve customer experience, mitigate risks, reduce costs, increase productivity ratio and enhance overall ROI.
Abe holds an MBA and a degree in Applied Mathematics, and has taught Corporate Performance Management, amongst other courses, at the triple-accredited Telfer professional MBA program, at the University of Ottawa
Michael Ryberg Hartmann is Chief Business Officer and leads Fintech Galaxy's brand expansion and growth across the MENA region spanning all activities across Business Development, Sales, Marketing and Public Relations, Partnerships and Innovation
Michael is an experienced Product & Engineering leader with 18+ years of experience driving digital transformation & scaling with in the Financial Services, Telco, and SaaS space going from scale-ups to large corporations. With proven expertise in API Platform development, digital transformation, eco systems and partnerships, he is also an advisor with in the Technology & Digital Transformation domain across Financial Services, Telco, and Start ups.
Michael previously served as VP Head of Digital Delivery & Transformation for TDC Group, Denmark where he led the over all. digital delivery organization splitting up a 140 year old company into two. He has also been a catalyst in in bringing new plat forms and solutions to market such as District a new Financial Platform for Business & Corporates for Danske Bank, Paii - Mobile P2P Wallet for all Danish Telcos and the international roll out of a new shift based scheduling plat form for Planday.
He holds a Master of Science in Information Technology from IT University of Copenhagen, Denmark and a BA of Computer Science from Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia. Moreover, he holds a certificate in Digital Transformation: Platform Strategies for Success from MIT Sloan School of Management.

Radu Popa is the Technology Consultant at Fintech Galaxy where he works behind the scenes with the technical team to guide and support in the implementation of our technology strategy. With his field expertise combined with his exceptional technical acumen, he acts as a compass to the Management team, directing the plans and executions of technical strategies that ensure the functional and successful development of the platform.
Radu is a senior technology leader, with 22+ years of experience in product development and operations, heading multidiscipline distributed teams in corporates and startup environments. He brings valuable experience in hiring and building technical teams, heading architecture and design, managing development and operations, business planning, and people management strategies.
Along with consulting for Fintech Galaxy, Radu is the Staff Architect for WeTransfer in Luxembourg. Priorly, he assumed several executive and technical roles, such as Chief Technology Officer, Principal Architect, and Director of Engineering, with startups and well-established companies in fields such as telecommunications, financial services and technology, where he played a key role in growing and scaling businesses in the European and American regions.
Radu holds a Master’s Degree in Physics from the University of Bucharest, and a Bachelor of Applied Sciences in Mathematics and Computer Science from the Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiesti, Romania.

Fadi Sleiman is a Finance professional with background in leveraging CFA designations to use data and make financial decisions and recommendations. He served as a CFO at AlRajhi United Investment , Abdulrahman AlRashid & Sons Co. Ltd where he managed and promoted financial investments in the GCC, UK and USA. He has also served as a Senior Financial Analyst at Abdulrahman Al-Rashid & Sons Co. Ltd and as a Finance Manager at Mawazin International Contracting.
He was also an active director of Durah Alkhaleej residential fund, a real estate fund managed by DERAYAH a financial services firm licensed by the CMA Independent board director. He was also a director at Amwal Financial Consultants and European Investment Park.
Fadi holds a Global executive MBA from INSEAD , has attended several graduate courses at McMaster University and has a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Lebanese University.
He is a certified Chartered Financial Analyst from the CFA institute, USA and a Certified Public Accountant from Delaware State, USA. In addition, he has a certificate in corporate governance, International Directors program, a selective program for Board directors’ development from INSEAD.
Rami AlKarmi is a proud geek, futurist, investor, and executive advisor. He is the senior vice president and chief innovation officer at Jordan Ahli Bank, also he is the CEO of Ahli FinTech the 1st Bank fully owned financial technologies company and fintech accelerator in the middle east.
Rami is a mentor at 500 Startups, as Unreasonable Future, and Startupbootcamp fintech, chairman at Arcoten, Octonius.com, member of the board at Al Raed Arabi School, and member of the advisory board of Fintech Galaxy, Think Barter Network, Roybi AI Robots, and WAKE International in San Francisco.
Rami founded his 1st startup at the age of 19. He holds an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Jordan, and completed the Venture Capital Executive Program at HAAS UC Berkeley, and “The Leading for the future”, and “The Leading, Organizing for Action” Executive Programs at Harvard Kennedy School, and the Senior Executive Education Program at UC San Diego. Rami is a passionate advocate of the Lean Startup movement and is a regular judge, mentor & keynote speaker at the region's important innovation, entrepreneurship & technology events. Abdulaziz Alfakhri is a multi-disciplinary executive, who has proven expertise spans in executive management, strategy, financial management, investments, mergers & acquisitions, financing, modeling & optimization, financial due diligence, negotiations, and industry analysis. Abdulaziz is currently the Executive Advisor to His Excellency the CEO of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City where he oversees RCRC Finance and Riyadh City Finance.
Abdulaziz served in a number of executive positions in several key institutions: SSTPC as its Chief Financial Officer, and multiple roles throughout his tenure in SABIC with Executive Director for Global Investments, and Business Intelligence. Riyadh AlZamil is the Founder and Chairman of Raz Holding Group, Member of the Board of Directors in the Riyadh Chamber, Chairman of the Entrepreneurship Committee of the Riyadh Chamber, Chairman of the National Committee for Entrepreneurship, and a member of Islamic investment board.
